Fog and Rain Water Harvesting System

Project Description: Capture and collect fog and rainwater for use as a water supply for plants or crops.

Users: Farmer / Gardener
Contexts of Use : Small scale crop.
Purpose:
- The design can be a support to everyone by giving it as present which can help cut cost in expenses due to the small scale design and conserve water.
- The design gives us the freedom to use rain as a free water supply and motivates us to do gardening activities. 

Limitation: The design depends on the amount of rainfall or season. 
Design Process:
- Conducting research on current water harvesting technologies and types of water that can be captured.
- Developing a set of design criteria for the water harvesting system concepts.
-Evaluating and comparing various water harvesting system concepts based on predetermined design requirements.

Design Concept
I did a creative workshop with another student using tools from https://www.ethicsfordesigners.com/tools to conceptualize the overall Human Values and Insights for this product.
Human Values : Intellectual Stimulation, Autonomy, Belonging, Responsibility, Positive Self, Harmony, Transcendence.

Intellectual Stimulation. Provide alternative way to find source for watering the plants and crops.

Autonomy, Belonging. Rain and Fog as source of water supply are free to use and Save Money.

Responsibility. Responsible for using water sparingly by making use of the rain.

By using natural resources (fog and rain) and technology to grow plants gives positive self and harmony values as a sustainable farmer and transcendence by being grateful to the blessing from Allah by utilizing the rain.
